Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Process & Quality Engineer to be responsible for improving manufacturing processes, driving product quality, and delivering measurable cost savings within a production environment. This hands-on role will lead process optimization initiatives, root cause investigations, and continuous improvement projects while partnering closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, R&D, and Supply Chain teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, throughput, and cost performance.
  • Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions for recurring production and quality issues.
  • Develop and maintain process controls, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Support new product introductions, process validations, and manufacturing scale-up efforts.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce defects, scrap, waste, and overall production costs.
  • Utilize quality and statistical tools including SPC, DOE, Cp/Cpk, PFMEA, and Gage R&R.
  • Analyze production data and recommend process improvements based on performance trends.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Packaging, R&D, and Sourcing to drive business objectives.
  • Provide technical support for process, equipment, and quality-related challenges.

Skills and Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related Engineering discipline.
  • 5+ years of manufacturing, process engineering, or quality engineering experience.
  • Strong preference for Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), Food & Beverage, Consumer Products, or Chemical Manufacturing experience.
  • Experience with packaging and/or filling equipment preferred.
  • Proven track record of process optimization, quality improvement, and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of SPC, DOE, Cp/Cpk, PFMEA, Gage R&R, and Root Cause Analysis methodologies.
  • Experience with quality management systems and manufacturing data analysis tools.
  • Lean Six Sigma experience or certification is a plus.
  • Strong process engineering foundation with an engineering-first mindset.
  • Demonstrated ability to use data to drive decisions and measurable business results.
  • Collaborative, self-directed, and effective in cross-functional environments.
  • Able to communicate technical concepts to both engineering and operations teams.
  • Experience delivering improvements tied to cost savings, defect reduction, and waste elimination.
