Help Desk/Desktop Support Analyst

Description We are looking for a Help Desk/Desktop Support Analyst to provide dependable technical assistance for end users in Indianapolis, Indiana. This Long-term Contract position focuses on resolving day-to-day hardware, software, and access issues while delivering responsive support across Microsoft-based environments. The ideal candidate brings strong troubleshooting ability, clear communication skills, and hands-on experience managing service requests and desktop support tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Provide front-line technical support for desktop, laptop, and Windows-related issues, ensuring timely resolution for end users.

• Investigate and resolve routine hardware, software, and account-access problems through effective troubleshooting practices.

• Manage incoming service requests, document issue details accurately, and track progress through ticketing systems such as JIRA and service desk platforms.

• Support user account administration activities, including access updates and directory-related tasks within Active Directory.

• Install, configure, and maintain Microsoft Windows 10 systems and standard business applications across user workstations.

• Assist employees with application support needs, including common productivity tools and Adobe Acrobat.

• Escalate more complex incidents when needed while maintaining clear communication with users and internal support teams.

• Contribute to desktop support operations by identifying recurring issues and recommending practical solutions to improve service quality. Requirements • Hands-on experience providing help desk or desktop support in a detail-oriented IT environment.

• Working knowledge of Active Directory for user account and access support tasks.

• Proficiency supporting Microsoft Windows, including Windows 10 desktop environments.

• Ability to perform basic troubleshooting for hardware, software, and connectivity issues.

• Experience handling service desk tickets and maintaining accurate issue documentation.

• Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat and common end-user application support needs.

• Experience using JIRA or a similar ticket management system.
