Prepare, review, and maintain balance sheet reconciliations, investigate reconciling items, conduct account analysis, and ensure transactions are accurately recorded in the appropriate accounting period

Perform variance analysis on balance sheet and income statement accounts, research unusual or unexpected fluctuations, and provide supporting schedules, reports, and analyses to management

Support accounting for SaaS subscriptions, implementation services, professional services, and other customer arrangements, including revenue recognition activities and related schedules in accordance with ASC 606

Review contracts, sales orders, and billing information to ensure proper accounting treatment and maintain reconciliations related to deferred revenue, unbilled receivables, contract assets, and other revenue-related accounts

Assist with the end-to-end order-to-cash process as needed, including contract review, billing, collections support, dispute resolution, account reconciliation, and investigation of discrepancies involving orders, invoices, contracts, and customer accounts

Collaborate with Billing, Sales Operations, Legal, Finance, and Customer Success teams to resolve accounting, billing, revenue recognition, contract, and data-related issues

Record, reconcile, and analyze payroll and payroll-related accounts, investigate discrepancies between payroll systems and the general ledger, and support accounting activities related to employee compensation, commissions, incentive compensation, taxes, benefits, and other employee-related liabilities

Prepare audit schedules, supporting documentation, and responses for external audits while supporting tax filings, regulatory reporting, compliance requirements, and the maintenance of accounting documentation in accordance with company policies

Ensure accounting activities comply with U.S. GAAP, internal controls, accounting policies, and established financial procedures

Identify opportunities to automate, standardize, and improve accounting processes while supporting accounting system implementations, upgrades, integrations, testing, chart-of-accounts maintenance, and related system configuration activities

Document accounting procedures, financial workflows, and internal control processes while participating in projects involving financial systems and upstream or downstream business processes

Travel to orientation, industry events, company meetings, training sessions, or other onsite activities as required

Perform additional duties, projects, and responsibilities as assigned

Requirements:

Progressive professional accounting experience, preferably within a SaaS, software, technology, or rapidly growing organization

Strong understanding and practical application of U.S. GAAP, including general ledger accounting, journal entries, account reconciliations, financial reporting, variance analysis, and month-end close processes

Enthusiasm for learning, continuous improvement, and expanding professional knowledge and skills

Strong work ethic, integrity, accountability, collaboration, and team orientation.
