The Role This is a 1099 Independent Contractor position following the school district's calendar. Immediate start dates depend on available placements once you've completed the application process.
As a Fullmind Occupational Therapist, you will:
- Deliver engaging, high-quality OT instruction in a remote classroom, building the same rapport and momentum an in-person therapist would
- Evaluate fine motor, sensory processing, and functional skills, and translate findings into clear, actionable goals
- Design and carry out individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's IEP in a remote setting.
- Document sessions and track progress toward IEP goals with the rigor districts require
- Partner with school-based staff, teachers, case managers, and administrators — to keep everyone aligned on student progress
Requirements
- Master's or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an ACOTE-accredited program
- Active New York State OT license in good standing
- NBCOT certification
- Comfort and experience with telepractice platforms for assessment and therapy delivery in a school/IEP setting
- A reliable, FERPA-compliant home setup: webcam, headset, stable high-speed internet, and a private, distraction-free workspace
- Strong remote-collaboration skills. You'll be a full partner to classroom teachers, case managers, and families even without being in the building
- Authorization to work in the United States
