Job Title: Electrical Test Technician

Job Description

The Test Technician will play a crucial role in supporting vehicle and component testing programs. This position involves executing test plans, setting up instrumentation, collecting data, and documenting results. The technician will work closely with Test Engineers to perform stability, durability, and validation testing, ensuring precise data collection and test execution.

Responsibilities

  • Execute vehicle and component stability tests according to established test plans and procedures.

  • Install instrumentation, sensors, wiring, and data acquisition equipment.

  • Perform test setups, execute test cycles, and monitor system performance.

  • Collect, review, and document test data and observations.

  • Maintain detailed test logs and daily activity records, troubleshoot efforts, and communicate issues to Test Engineers.

  • Operate test vehicles and perform required duty cycles as needed.

  • Maintain test equipment and support 5S initiatives.

Essential Skills

  • High School Diploma with 4+ years of relevant experience, OR an Associate's/Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Engineering Technology.

  • Experience reviewing and executing test plans, procedures, or validation activities.

  • Mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting experience.

  • Strong technical documentation skills.

  • Ability to work hands-on in a testing environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with stability, durability, reliability, or validation testing.

  • Familiarity with data acquisition systems and instrumentation.

  • CAN communication knowledge.

  • Harness fabrication or electrical wiring experience.

  • Experience supporting vehicle, mechanical, or electrical subsystem testing.

Work Environment

Candidates will work within a split floor and office environment. The test team is located at the end of the manufacturing line and begins performing tests immediately as the product rolls off the line. The facility is brand new and includes an onsite medical clinic, cafeteria, and fitness facility.

This is a Contract position based out of Columbus, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
