Laboratory Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated laboratory assistant to support our testing operations. The successful candidate will assist the team in sample preparation and ensure the smooth running of daily lab activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with incoming sample preparation and manage a high volume of samples daily.

• Help with weighing samples and plating procedures.

• Enter sample data into management systems in a timely manner.

• Complete lab testing on all incoming samples and ensure sample turnaround goals are met.

• Verify results and submit them for transmission.

• Identify non-conformances and out-of-specification results.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

• Experience in sample preparation, lab testing, and biology.

• Proficiency in lab techniques such as pipetting, assays, dilutions, media preparation, aseptic techniques, and staining.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences with 0-1 years of experience.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.

Work Environment

The role is based in a laboratory setting, requiring standing for extended periods and handling a high volume of samples. The position includes overtime and requires availability from Sunday to Thursday, 1pm to 9:30pm.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tustin, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
