Associate, Crisis Clinician - resolve Child and Adolescent Crisis Team

Resolve Crisis Services is looking for a Crisis Clinician to join our Child and Adolescent Crisis Team Intervention Services (CACTIS) team! Resolve Crisis Services is a partnership between Allegheny County and UPMC Western Psychiatric Hospital providing support services to residents of Allegheny County 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. CACTIS provides crisis intervention and supplementary support in the home, school, and community to children and adolescents with emotional and behavioral health issues.

All candidates must be able to work varying shifts: daylight, evening, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Under the direction of the Crisis Program Coordinator this position is responsible for assisting in the consumer service and clinical services. Primary responsibility is responding to mobile crisis calls from community professionals and persons within Allegheny County. This includes, but is not limited to, answering questions, obtaining clinical information and scheduling outpatient evaluations, responding to telephone crisis, and documentation of all duties previously mentioned.

Crisis Clinician levels from Associate, Clin I and Clin II will be considered for this role. The title and pay rate for these positions may vary depending on education level and years of experience.

2 years - $3500

3 years - $5000

Responsibilities:

• Manages a caseload for the shift

• Obtaining clinical information in the medical record

• Provide supportive counseling to consumers to promote stability.

• Work efficiently and independently in crisis setting

• Support consumer and negotiates appropriate referral services.

• Collaborates with the Clin II such case consultations

• Meets documentation and completes all required paperwork.

• Completes face to face crisis assessments

• Responding to telephone calls from consumer(s) community and natural supports

• Manages crisis situations effectively

• Complete case reviews

• Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Counseling or Social Work. Other fields of study may be considered with coursework of at least 12 credits in human services and/or relevant mental health experience. (Preferred other fields of study include: Social Work, Psychology, Gerontology, Sociology, Anthropology, Criminal Justice, Theology, Nursing, Counseling/Guidance, Education)

• ATTENTION: A COPY OF YOUR BACHELOR'S OR MASTER'S TRANSCRIPTS MUST BE ATTACHED FOR CONSIDERATION.

• Consistent ability to respond calmly and effectively, using good clinical judgment to both psychiatric and medical emergencies.

• Recovery-oriented interpersonal relations.

• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
