FS Companies are committed to ensuring the continued profitability for the company, their owners, and their customers, while enacting to help the environment and greater good. * * * Human Resources Specialist* * * * DIVISION: * * REPORTS TO: General Manager * STATUS: * /Exempt/ * SALARY: $50,000 – $70,000 * * _ _ * PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT* Provides administrative support and coordination to all HR functions related to benefits, employment, compensation, payroll support, and compliance administration. * ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS* * _ _* Oversees and coordinates the preparation and processing of assigned employment documents for accuracy and consistency. Compiles payroll data from time sheets and other records to ensure accurate and timely payroll process; monitors accuracy of payroll information including monthly reconciliation or certain accounts as determined by the Controller. Implements payroll functions at times of annual raises, employee bonus payments, PTO payouts and profit sharing payments. Performs monthly insurance premium calculations and reconciles premium payments to ensure accurate billing, deductions, and account balances. Coordinates employee recruiting efforts, including planning and attending job fairs, developing candidate pipelines, promoting employment opportunities, and supporting the hiring process from candidate outreach through onboarding. Coordinates benefit enrollment with new hires, and uploads data to all vendors for timely coverage. Manages employee files, by scanning, uploading, and distributing employee documents in ImageNow. Ensures that proper taxes, insurance, and miscellaneous deductions withheld and posted to payroll records. Records changes affecting net wages such as exemptions, insurance coverage, and loan payments for each employee to update master payroll records. Drives the ePAF process to record employee changes such as pay, job transfers, adds to payroll and termination. Maintains record of PTO, FMLA, leaves of absences and other time off. Provides assistance to employees requesting information on these paid time-off plans and policies. Manages the employee clothing program. Develops HR goals and objectives annually and updates company business plan. Assist in annual benefit enrollment and performance management. Attends training to keep up to date on regulatory issues pertaining to payroll and benefits. Performs all other duties as assigned. * REQUIREMENTS* Normally requires 2-year degree in Business, Accounting or related field and a minimum of 3 years experience in benefits and payroll, or an equivalent combination of education and experience Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development. Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record. Must be able to work extended hours as business conditions warrant.
