About the Role:

As a CBRE Advisory Business Operations Expense Specialist, you will provide market level expense support for internal clients including producer teams, office operations and additional lines of business. This job is part of the Americas Advisory Business Operations Expense Specialist function that supports Brokerage Services and CBRE Corporate US offices. You will be working on a national platform, supporting assigned markets. You will be responsible for expense support including internal and external billbacks, AP and Expense reimbursement approvals and expense reporting to leadership.

This role provides foundational experience in accounting, expense management, financial reporting, and business operations, creating opportunities for future growth within Finance, Accounting, and Advisory Business Operations.

**To effectively partner with stakeholders and leadership in the assigned region, this position requires availability during Mountain Time Zone business hours

What You’ll Do:

  • Review expenses for accurate coding, backup documents and policy requirements while escalating potential conflicts or policy violations.

  • Ensure submittal and approval of older expense reports to support accurate and timely financial reporting.

  • Maintain accurate ADV Employee labor allocations and producer classifications.

  • Support the preparation, submission, and tracking of journal entries and other financial reporting requirements such as producer and client billbacks.

  • Support administration of expense-related requirements in producer contracts, including tracking and processing producer bonus obligations.

  • Maintain non-listing expense projects.

  • Perform expense-related research, troubleshooting, and reporting to support market and team leadership decision-making.

  • Deliver own output by following defined standardized procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.

  • Exchange straightforward information, ask questions and check for understanding.

What You’ll Need:

  • High School Diploma or GED with 2-3 years of job experience in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

  • Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.

  • Ability to adapt to process changes implemented.

  • Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.

  • Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat Professional and Microsoft Office products. Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including sorting, filtering, formulas, and data analysis.

  • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.

  • Basic math skills. Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages, discounts, and markups.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Business Operations - Expense Specialist position is $60,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Business Operations - Expense Specialist position is $75,000 annually. The compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on their skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
