Description

All aspects of Assistant duties such as rooming patients, obtaining patient histories and vitals; accurate documentation into EMR; assisting physician with exams and procedures;

Preparing appropriate instrumentation, equipment, and supplies for procedures;

Demonstrating competence with proper understanding of sterile technique; performing sponge, needle, and instrument counts in an accurate manner;

Assuming responsibility for upholding the policies and procedures of the clinic, including compliance with HIPAA; Performance of all responsibilities in a manner which contribute to positive clinical outcomes and service excellence for patients and physicians;

Scheduling appointments and clerical tasks; telephone interaction with patients and ancillaries;

Other duties as necessary and/or assigned.

As expected with all healthcare positions, must adhere to HIPAA/OSHA/BLOODBORNE PATHOGEN regulations and maintain associated workplace trainings.
