Salary: per GTA Contract

Report Times: 7:15am - 2:15pm

Daily Hours: 7

Work Year: 2026-2027

Supervisor: Principal

Desired Qualifications:

Demonstrate knowledge of pedagogy and instructional techniques across a variety of visual arts mediums.

Knowledge of NYS Visual Arts Learning Standards.

Knowledge of digital media and NYS Media Arts Learning Standards.

Position Summary/Responsibilities:

Design and deliver engaging, student-centered instruction aligned with GCSD Visual Arts Curriculum and NYS Learning Standards, using diverse teaching methods to cater to varied learning styles and needs.

Teach a variety of visual arts mediums, including digital media.

Create a positive, inclusive, and safe environment where all students feel supported, valued, and appropriately challenged.

Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely feedback and evidence-based interventions as needed.

Maintain clear, effective communication with students, families, administrators, and colleagues regarding academic progress and growth areas.

Participate in district and community student art shows

Stay current with best practices in visual arts education and participate in ongoing professional development opportunities.
