Where You Will Work

Located approximately 50 miles northeast of Safford, Arizona on U.S. Highway 191, Morenci operations (an open-pit copper mining complex) has been in continuous operation since 1939. The operation consists of two concentrators, crushed-ore leach pad and stacking system, a low-grade run-of-mine (ROM) leaching system; four SX plants; and three EW tank houses that produce copper cathode.

Description

Under the supervision of the Enrichment Program Specialist, responsible for the development, direction and operation of before and after-school programs.

Responsible for the overall effective operation and quality of the before and after-school programs

  • Assists in the development and execution of initiatives relating to the library, teen programs and workshops

  • May assist in the administration of the budget of assigned responsibility; makes necessary adjustments in a timely fashion

  • Maintains an ongoing line of communication with all stakeholders to enhance the sites programming scope and resource base

  • Establishes a network of resources such as community agencies, organizations and service groups to enhance the sites program

  • Performs public relations duties; responds to complaints and inquiries

  • Assists in the training of Enrichment Program staff

  • Assists in the coordination of community events

  • Performs other duties as required

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Four (4) years of related experience; OR

  • Bachelor's degree in related field of study and two (2) years of related experience

  • Working knowledge of Enrichment Programs and their management

  • Strong customer service, listening, and problem solving skills

  • Competency in management, administration, promotion, and program development

  • Experience in building relationships with families of all ages and abilities

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing

  • Competent in the use of MS Office software and other database software

  • Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions, and to respond to safety and emergency situations

Preferred

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Criteria/Conditions

  • Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in English

  • Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards

  • Must be able to work in a potentially stressful environment

  • Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk

  • Occasionally may be required to lift moderately heavy objects (up to 20 pounds) during the course of the work day

The estimated pay range for this role is currently  $24.00 - $32.00/hour. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. More details will be shared during the hiring process.
