Job Description

Insight Global is looking for an Expert Applications Architect (Senior Microsoft Power Platform & Copilot Studio Engineer - State Government/Regulated Environment) to support our client in the government sector. This role is responsible for leading the design, development, deployment, and support of Microsoft Copilot Studio solutions within a secure, regulated environment. The individual builds and integrates AI agents with Microsoft 365, Power Platform, SharePoint, Dataverse, and enterprise systems to support knowledge discovery, workflow automation, and decision-making while ensuring compliance with governance, security, accessibility, privacy, and records retention requirements. They establish architecture standards, ALM processes, and deployment pipelines; monitor performance and troubleshoot issues; maintain audit-ready documentation; and serve as a subject matter expert on Copilot Studio capabilities. Additionally, they partner with business stakeholders, security, legal, and compliance teams to identify high-value AI use cases, guide adoption, provide technical leadership, and ensure solutions align with enterprise AI governance and state IT policies.

The position serves as a senior technical authority, partnering with business units, information security, compliance, and platform governance teams to ensure Copilot solutions are production ready, supportable, and aligned with public sector policies.

Skills and Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Dataverse).
• Hands on experience building and managing Microsoft Copilot Studio agents.
• Strong understanding of enterprise security, governance, and compliance controls.
• Experience working in government, public sector, or highly regulated environments (e.g., finance, healthcare, education).
• Ability to document solutions clearly for audits, compliance reviews, and operational support.
• Experience supporting state or federal government IT environments.
• Familiarity with records management, data classification, and privacy controls.
• Experience extending or governing Microsoft 365 Copilot in an enterprise setting.
• Knowledge of accessibility, risk management, and public sector technology standards.
