About the job

The Vice President, Culinary Sodexo Live! Sports & Leisure North America is the leading role providing strategic and operational leadership for all culinary matters in close partnership with our marketing, operations and sales team as well as with our clients.

The Vice President, Culinary is responsible for providing the direction and leadership of the company’s culinary operations throughout North America. Responsibilities will include providing ongoing management, direction and support to the company's chefs (at all levels), managers, and staff in the areas of food quality, presentation, purchasing, inventory controls, and food safety.

Additionally, this role must ensure full compliance of HACCP programs, contribute to the ongoing development and implementation of culinary programs both within existing accounts as well as potential new accounts and effectively work with teams across the organization to implement and continuously improve culinary standards and ensure the standards are maintained.

Provides strategic vision and direction, leading organization or its business function. Oversees area of responsibility, directing the responsibilities of employees. Holds management accountability for a business, division, major geography, corporate function or major corporate sub-function. Develops, establishes and approves long-term vision and strategy for the area managed. Goal achievement is typically accomplished through performance of direct and / or indirect reports. The scope of responsibility includes the entire organization and / or selected line of business / business entity.

Pay Range: $181220 per year - $281380 per year

Incentive Eligibility: Eligible to participate in Sodexo's incentive plan and earn variable compensation in addition to base salary

What’s in it for you

  • Drive the talent strategy to source and develop the best culinary talents across US and Canada.

  • Develop and maintain a core menu for sports and convention centers in conjunction with culinary transformation team.

  • Support Strategic Client Accounts.

  • Oversee the onboarding of culinary programs to ensure that established standards, recipes and procedures are being followed.

  • Lead in culinary capabilities presentations to key accounts.

  • Train culinary staff in the execution of new menu cycles, dishes and techniques and ensure smooth roll out of the programs in the varying lines of business, leverage culinary learning initiatives.

  • Drive purchasing compliance as it relates to Product and Vendor.

  • Ensure any menu management system used for deployment is well designed, implemented and adopted.

  • Ensure strict discipline for purchasing processes, catalogue compliance.

  • Drive food safety and quality strategy.

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations.

  • Monitor and ensure that all food preparation areas are meeting HACCP standards and procedures. Implement and enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of kitchen and/or dining areas.
