Lab/Packaging Technician

Location: Ipswich, MA

Job Type: Full-Time, Contract

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Lab/Packaging Technician to support daily laboratory and operational activities related to materials handling, inventory management, packaging, and quality documentation. This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level candidate looking to gain experience in a regulated scientific or manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, organize, and track incoming samples, materials, and supplies.

  • Support packaging, labeling, and distribution of materials in accordance with established procedures.

  • Maintain accurate inventory records and perform routine inventory audits.

  • Conduct quality inspections on incoming and existing materials to ensure compliance with specifications.

  • Prepare and stage media, reagents, and laboratory supplies to support scientific and operational teams.

  • Utilize SAP and other inventory management systems to monitor material levels and support ordering activities.

  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintain accurate documentation.

  • Ensure documentation complies with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) requirements.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure materials are available when needed.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree preferred, ideally in a scientific, technical, or related field.

  • 1-2 years of experience in inventory management, materials handling, packaging, laboratory support, or a related environment.

  • Experience working with inventory management systems, ERP platforms, or SAP is preferred.

  • Familiarity with SOPs, sample management, reagent handling, and quality documentation.

  • Exposure to GLP, GMP, or other regulated environments is a plus.

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Hamilton, MA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
