Summary

About the Position: This position is located within the Eisenhower Army Medical Center at Fort Gordon, in Georgia. Oversees emergency management planning, training, coordination, and compliance for the Medical Treatment Facility and downtrace units to ensure readiness, aligned procedures, and effective collaboration with military and civilian partners. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation.

Duties

  • Advise facility leaders on emergency management matters to support informed decision making.
  • Develop emergency operations plans to provide clear direction for emergency response.
  • Coordinate emergency planning activities with military and civilian partners to strengthen collaboration.
  • Lead emergency management training to prepare staff for required exercises and incident response.
  • Review external policies to ensure alignment with facility emergency procedures.
  • Manage emergency preparedness committees to monitor issues and guide corrective actions.
  • Draft agreements with neighboring hospitals to support joint emergency response planning.
  • Maintain program records to support training compliance, performance tracking, and budget planning.

Qualifications

Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the education and experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience developing emergency response plans to support facility readiness for complex incidents; and coordinating multi agency emergency activities to strengthen joint preparedness across military and civilian partners; and leading emergency training programs to ensure staff proficiency in drills and incident procedures; and reviewing regulatory requirements to maintain compliance within all emergency management functions. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

Salary includes applicable locality pay or Local Market Supplement.
