Full job description
Responsibilities:
- Own the React Native client architecture for Dhruva, defining the data flow, module boundaries, abstraction layers, and patterns that the team builds on.
- Architect the local data layer's offline-first storage, sync strategies, conflict resolution, and schema migration patterns that scale as the AI agent adds new capabilities.
- Build extensible rendering infrastructure for AI-native features, streaming responses, polymorphic message types, inline actionable widgets (payment CTAs and score visualizations), and proactive nudge surfaces.
- Mentor and collaborate with the existing senior developer to codify institutional knowledge into patterns and docs so architecture decisions aren't trapped in anyone's head.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of React Native for a production app with real-time features.
- Expertise in real-time protocol design on mobile.
- Proven ability to design module boundaries and plugin architectures.
- Solid understanding of component architecture and state management.
- Experience with state management (Redux / RTK Query / Context API).
- Performance engineering on low-end Android devices: not just optimization, but designing architectures that are inherently performant (lazy loading, virtualization, memory-aware patterns).
- Understanding of play and app store release processes.
- Strong opinions on technology tradeoffs, backed by reasoning you can articulate why you'd choose Zustand over Redux (or vice versa) for a specific use case, not just a preference.
- Experience producing client architecture documentation data flow diagrams, module boundary specs, and decision records that a team can follow independently.
