Full job description
- Responsible for maintaining constant up-to-date knowledge of agency policy and procedures, rules and regulations governing the inmate disciplinary process.
- Investigates charges and develops all avenues of advocacy necessary to ensure that full due process is afforded the inmate during disciplinary hearings.
- Interviews witnesses and presents supporting evidence.
- When security mandates, will be present on the inmate's behalf and safeguards the interests of the inmate during testimony.
- Establishes good working relationship with institutional staff in order to effectively gather facts relating to inmate disciplinary cases.
- Position is located at Allendale Correctional Institution.
Must successfully complete four (4) weeks of SCDC Basic Training upon hire.
