Full job description

Our client, Payments Technology is seeking a Solutions Architect to join their team. As a Solutions Architect, you will be part of the Architecture & Engineering organization supporting Payments domain application teams. The ideal candidate will have strong technical leadership, a deep understanding of distributed systems and microservices architecture, and the ability to drive architecture decisions from inception through implementation readiness and ongoing maintenance.

Job Title: Solutions Architect

Location: Jersey City, NJ

Pay Range: $70-$73/hr

What's the Job?

  • Own architecture activities and decisions for a suite of related applications within the Payments domain.

  • Take a product from inception through requirements, design, development, implementation readiness, and maintenance.

  • Design and build high throughput, low latency applications using microservices, containers, distributed databases, and Kafka.

  • Perform scalability, security, resiliency, and availability trade-off analysis for distributed systems using domain expertise, practical experiments, and Proof of Concepts (POCs).

  • Ensure adherence to architecture governance processes and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

What's Needed?

  • Deep understanding of Domain-Driven Design (DDD), distributed systems design, integration patterns, microservices architecture, and cloud-native architecture.

  • Strong UML knowledge and the ability to translate architecture into clear, actionable designs.

  • Demonstrable experience designing and building distributed, event-driven systems with microservices, containers, distributed databases, and Kafka.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple development designs and projects concurrently to meet required timelines.

  • Experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, or other Cloud Service Providers (CSP).
