Job Description

We have an immediate opportunity for an Environmental Scientist/Regulatory Specialist to support work in the Southeast for our established and growing business in renewable and commercial energy generation, transmission, transportation, and other federal and state programs. Support environmental analyses for NEPA, Clean Water Act, and other permitting efforts. Prepare detailed technical reports that meet regulatory standards and client expectations. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, regulatory agencies, and project stakeholders. Ensure work is completed on time, within scope and budget, while maintaining high standards of quality.

Skills and Requirements

Bachelor's degree in environmental science, biology, or similar 5+ years of Environmental Scientist with environmental permitting experience Experience interpreting federal and state-based regulations for environmental applications/approvals previous consulting firm experience

  • energy generation and transmission experience (surveys, NEPA or State assessments, local permitting/authorizations)
  • multiple market experience (natural gas, fossil-based, solar and storage)
  • applications related to local (CUP) and state (PSC) project developments
  • Served in roles as a leader of technical teams or deputy project manager
