Job Summary Provides advanced pre-hospital emergency care, including patient assessment, airway management, medication administration, and intravenous therapy. Responds to emergency and non-emergency situations, collaborates with healthcare professionals, and ensures accurate documentation of patient care.
Essential Functions

Assesses, treats, and transports patients in emergency and non-emergency situations according to established protocols.

Provides advanced airway management, oxygen therapy, and medication administration within scope of practice.

Operates emergency vehicles safely and efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and departmental policies.

Maintains accurate and timely patient care reports and documentation.

Participates in continuing education and training to maintain licensure and enhance clinical skills.

Collaborates with healthcare professionals, law enforcement, and other agencies during all responses.

Ensures all equipment, supplies, and vehicles are properly maintained, cleaned, and ready for operational use.

Performs other duties as assigned.
Supervisory/Management Responsibilities This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive. Minimum Requirements

Education - High School diploma or equivalent OR post-high school diploma/highest degree earned.

Experience - One (1) year Emergency Medical Technician experience. Basic (EMT-B) Pre-hospital care experience preferred
In Lieu Of Provisional Emergency Medical Technician - Advanced (EMT-A) certification from another Emergency Medical Service COMPACT State (EMS COMPACT) meets education and EMT-A certification requirements. Obtaining conventional State required certification and National Registry (NREMT) certification must occur within twelve months of hire. Required Certifications, Registrations, Licenses

State or Provisional Emergency Medical Technician – Advanced certification

BLS - Basic Life Support (CPR)

A valid driver’s license; an acceptable motor vehicle record, as defined by the Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) Chart.
