Financial Planner (CPA / CFP)

Base Salary: $100,000 – $120,000 + Bonus

Location: Chattanooga, TN (Onsite)

We are partnering with a respected, fee-only Registered Investment Advisor to identify a Financial Planner for their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong planning professional with a CPA or CFP and a deep background in tax-focused financial planning. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building comprehensive financial plans, supporting advisors behind the scenes, and serving as an internal planning expert—without being responsible for owning the primary client relationship.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive and segmented financial plans for high-net-worth clients

  • Partner closely with lead and service advisors to support client planning needs

  • Perform in-depth analysis

  • Retirement planning

  • Cash flow and debt management

  • Net worth tracking

  • College planning

  • Asset allocation recommendations

  • Lead tax-focused planning strategies and provide insight through tax return review

  • Update and maintain client plans as financial situations evolve

  • Serve as the internal subject matter expert for planning best practices, processes, and tools

  • Utilize MoneyGuidePro and internal planning systems to produce consistent, high-quality planning deliverables

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

  • CPA and/or CFP designation preferred

  • Strong technical financial planning background, ideally with significant tax expertise

  • Experience supporting high-net-worth clients within an RIA, wealth management, or financial planning environment

  • Ability to translate complex tax and financial planning concepts into practical recommendations

  • Collaborative mindset and comfort working in a team-based advisor support model

  • Experience with MoneyGuidePro strongly preferred
