Amergis Educational Staffing is partnered with a school in Revere, MA who is currently seeking a Physical Therapist / Physical Therapist Assistant to work with students on a contractual basis.
Details of the Position Include:
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Now through November, with potential extension
Schedule: Monday-Friday, approximately 7:45 AM - 2:45 PM
Requirements:

Active Massachusetts PT or PTA license
-
School-based experience preferred
-
Ability to travel between four school locations

Strong communication and documentation skills
Description: Seeking a qualified Physical Therapist or Physical Therapist Assistant to provide school-based physical therapy services for a caseload of 32 students in grades K-8 across four elementary schools. This position is strictly treatment-focused with no evaluations required . Responsibilities include providing direct services, maintaining accurate documentation, tracking student progress, collaborating with teachers and support staff, and supporting students' mobility, strengthening, and functional skill development. PTA candidates will implement treatment plans developed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
Pay: $45/ hour

The Physical Therapy Assistant provides physical therapy services, including treatment, implementation, and documentation, under the direction of the Physical Therapist and in accordance with the physician’s plan of care.
Minimum Requirements:
-
Current licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of practice
-
One (1) year of prior professional Physical Therapy Assistant experience preferred.

Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
-
Current CPR if applicable
-
TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
-
Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
-
Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
-
Must be at least 18 years of age
