Summary

As a HR Specialist with the US Office of Personnel Management, Human Resources Solutions, Federal Systems Center, you will support HR information systems through customer engagement, help desk services, system implementation and change management. You will assist customers with system requirements, testing, training, process improvements, project activities, and resolution of system issues.

Duties

Provides customer and help desk support for HR information systems by responding to system questions, resolving issues, routing requests, and monitoring ticket trends. Works with customers to identify business needs, gather system requirements, document enhancement requests, and support improvements to automated HR processes. Supports implementation projects by assisting with project plans, system configurations, milestones, resources, customer requirements, and project status activities. Conducts system acceptance testing and evaluates system functionality, reporting data, and user feedback to identify potential system or process improvements. Develops user guides, job aids, communications, and training materials and provides system training to administrators, HR staff, employees, and other users. Advises and assists customers with system functionality, business processes, implementation activities, and adoption of automated HR processes. Requirements

Minimum Qualifications for the GS-07 Grade Level: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience at the GS-05 grade level (or equivalent) working in an HR environment, while performing the following activities: Providing customer support related to human resources information systems, processes, or requirements. Responding to customer requests and tracking help desk tickets or user issues to support resolution. Preparing or updating user guides, job aids, training materials, or other documentation related to system functions or procedures. Assisting with system testing, customer training, or gathering user feedback related to system functionality. OR Have one year of graduate level education in human resources, business, public administration, or another closely related field which provided the knowledge, skills, and abilities to do the work of the position. OR Have a Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, public administration, or another closely related field that qualifies for superior academic achievement (as described in the vacancy announcement). OR Have a combination of specialized experience and graduate level education as described above that when combined totals 100% of the requirements Minimum Qualifications for the GS-09 Grade Level: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience at the GS-07 grade level (or equivalent) working in an HR environment, while performing the following activities Providing customer support and guidance related to human resources information systems, processes, or requirements. Reviewing customer requests, help desk tickets, or user feedback to identify issues, trends, and potential solutions. Gathering and documenting customer requirements to support system changes, enhancements, or business processes. Assisting with system testing, training, and the development of user guides, job aids, or other customer support materials. OR Have a Master's degree in human resources, business, public administration, or another closely related field. OR Have two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Master's or equivalent degree in human resources, business, public administration, or another closely related field. OR Have a combination of specialized experience and graduate level education as described above that when combined totals 100% of the requirements. (Please note: Only graduate education in excess of the first 18 semester hours may be used in this calculation.) You must meet all qualification and eligibility requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. All Education must be accredited by an accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education in order for it to be credited towards qualifications (particularly positions with a positive education requirement.) You will be evaluated based on how well you meet the qualifications listed in this vacancy announcement.
