Description

Robert Half is partnering with a growing manufacturing organization to identify a Production Manager who will lead assembly operations and drive performance across safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost. This individual will be responsible for developing leaders and production teams, implementing continuous improvement initiatives, and fostering a culture of accountability, employee engagement, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate is a hands-on manufacturing leader who excels at balancing people leadership with process improvement in a fast-paced production environment.

Requirements

  • Lead daily production operations to ensure safety, quality, productivity, and delivery objectives are achieved.

  • Develop, coach, and mentor supervisors and production employees.

  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, engagement, and continuous improvement.

  • Monitor and improve key performance indicators, including safety, quality, throughput, labor efficiency, scrap, and schedule attainment.

  • Drive Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives, including Kaizen, 5S, Standard Work, and Visual Management.

  • Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and other departments to support operational objectives.

  • Lead change management efforts and implement process improvements that increase efficiency and reduce waste.

  • Promote a safe work environment through employee involvement, communication, and accountability.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, Business, or a related field; equivalent manufacturing leadership experience will also be considered.

  • 5+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience, preferably within precision manufacturing or complex assembly environments.

  • Proven success improving safety, quality, productivity, and on-time delivery performance.

  • Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies.

  • Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to coach, develop, and hold employees accountable.

  • Experience utilizing production KPIs and operational metrics to drive performance improvements.

  • Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office, including Excel.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

  • The targeted salary range for this position is $93K-$120K
