Full job description
NVIDIA has been transforming computer graphics, PC gaming, and accelerated computing for more than 25 years. It’s a unique legacy of innovation that’s fueled by great technology—and amazing people.
Today, we’re tapping into the unlimited potential of AI to define the next era of computing. An era in which our GPU acts as the brains of computers, robots, and self-driving cars that can understand the world. Doing what’s never been done before takes vision, innovation, and the world’s best talent. As an NVIDIAN, you’ll be immersed in a diverse, supportive environment where everyone is inspired to do their best work. Come join the team and see how you can make a lasting impact on the world.
Replay of recorded drives is how NVIDIA's autonomous-driving software is debugged, regression-tested and validated. Re-running recorded drives through the ADAS software on x86 instead of putting a car back on the road. This internship builds the tooling that turns replay from an expert-only, manual process into automation the whole team relies on.
What you'll be doing:
-
Build a productized replay "run command" — a single, parameterized entry point that resolves automatically and without the need of expert knowledge to launch a run.
-
Develop a direct bug-replay workflow that reproduces a reported issue straight from its recording and proves that an implemented fix is working as expected.
-
Implement replay tests for the CI so it triggers on every new build drop and returns a clear pass/fail verdict, protecting releases from silent regressions.
-
Work hands-on with large-scale recorded sensor data and a production autonomous-driving stack.
-
Deliver foundational infrastructure that makes autonomous-driving software faster and safer to ship across NVIDIA's automotive customers.
-
Support with vehicle and feature testing as needed onsite in Munich.
What we need to see:
-
Currently pursuing a MS, PhD or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, Robotics, or related technical field.
-
Strong programming ability in Python and C++.
-
Proven computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, and clean software design.
-
Comfort working on Linux and with Git-based version control.
-
A self-directed builder's mentality— a track record of turning manual, ad-hoc processes into clean, reusable tools.
-
Full professional proficiency in English (written and spoken).
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
-
Background in autonomous driving, robotics, or sensor data (camera, lidar, radar).
-
Experience with Bazel or other large Monorepo build systems.
-
Comfort working on QNX.
Widely considered to be one of the technology world’s most desirable employers, NVIDIA offers highly competitive salaries and a comprehensive benefits package. As you plan your future, see what we can offer to you and your family www.nvidiabenefits.com/
