Description

Job Title: Compliance Manager

Reports To: VP Operations, Southeast US

Location: Jacksonville, FL

Job Type: Full Time, Monday-Friday

Pay Range: Based on experience

Job Summary:

As the Compliance Manager you will be responsible for maintaining all employee files to ensure that they meet all Student Transportation of America, District, and State requirements. The Compliance Manager will also aid in training new candidates and recertification of current employees. Our ideal candidate will have previous school bus experience, preferably in safety, training and/or compliance, along with strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

Essential Duties:

  • Prepare employee files for delivery to the district.

  • Liaise with district officials.

  • Check references for all potential drivers/monitors

  • Attend accidents.

  • Communicate with Drivers and Monitors within the terminal.

  • Assist with Training and Certification of drivers

  • Maintain driver qualification files to ensure compliance with all STA, district, and state requirements.

  • Built a rapport with drivers/monitors.

  • Enter information into internal Company databases to ensure continuous compliance.

  • May on occasion be required to drive home to school or charter routes.

  • Conduct oneself professionally and in a manner to reflect positively on STA.

  • Various other duties assigned by Management.

Qualifications:

  • High School or equivalent

  • 2 years + School Bus Experience.

  • Previous experience preferred.

  • Strong organizational skills.

  • Strong Interpersonal Skills.

  • Able to work independently without supervision.

  • Detail Oriented

  • Able to meet all deadlines.
