Remote, USA

Full time

R260000006576

R1 is the leading provider of technology-driven solutions that transform the patient experience and financial performance of hospitals, health systems, and medical groups. We are the one company that combines the deep expertise of a global workforce of revenue cycle professionals with the industry’s most advanced technology platform, encompassing sophisticated analytics, AI, intelligent automation, and workflow orchestration.

As a Senior Analytics Analyst – Epic Revenue Cycle Reporting , you will turn complex Epic data into the reporting and insights that R1's operations teams and health system clients rely on. You'll support Epic clients as well as standardized reporting for other clients whose data is hosted by R1, working across every team in the department. You'll also help design a new Epic reporting model the department will own going forward and contribute to a KPI dashboard covering all end-to-end clients. If you like hard problems and variety, this role delivers both. Very little of the work repeats.

What you'll do

  • Build and deliver Power BI and ad-hoc reports for operations teams and clients, including urgent requests that need a fast turnaround

  • Write and optimize SQL against Epic Clarity and revenue cycle data to answer complex business questions

  • Help design the department's new Epic reporting model, including table structure, based on existing reports and recurring requests

  • Contribute to a KPI dashboard spanning all end-to-end clients

  • Track down hard-to-find data for client requests and see problems through to resolution

  • Partner with upstream data teams (EDW, engineering, data platform) and the operations teams who use the data

  • Apply AI tools, including building agents or skills, to speed up reporting and analysis

  • Analyze complex datasets to spot trends, patterns, and anomalies, and turn findings into clear summaries for leadership and operations

  • Validate data integrity and report accuracy through QA checks and documented standards

What we're looking for

  • 5+ years in an analytics role working with complex datasets

  • Revenue cycle management (RCM) analytics experience

  • Hands-on experience with Epic data, especially the Clarity data model and revenue cycle data within Epic

  • Expert SQL on any platform (e.g., T-SQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Snowflake).

  • Advanced Power BI experience, including DAX

  • Experience with Databricks and Git

  • Hands-on use of AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Copilot CLI) for analytics and automation

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the persistence to find answers when the path to the data isn't obvious

  • Clear communication and the ability to manage multiple priorities

Nice to have

  • Epic certification (e.g., Clarity)

  • Python or PySpark for analysis and automation

  • Experience designing AI agents for analytics workflows

  • Knowledge of data governance and compliance standards

This role might be right for you if…

  • You already know Epic Clarity and want to put that knowledge to work right away

  • You'd rather solve new problems than run the same reports every week

  • You stay with a hard question until you find the answer

  • You want a hand in designing a data model from the ground up

  • You're already using AI in your work and want to do more with it

Your first 30 and 90 days

First 30 days: Get system access, meet the team and partners across the department, and get onto active projects.

By 90 days: Help build the department's new Epic reporting model and take on reporting and project work with growing independence.
