A Snapshot of Your Day

Join Siemens Energy as a Generator Advanced Planner in our vibrant Charlotte factory, where your passion for collaboration and continuous improvement will shine! In this dynamic role, you will engage with various organizational units, focusing on forecasting, inventory, and capacity planning. You will interact with teams such as Project Management, Engineering, Accounting, Supply Management, and Manufacturing to track progress, key customer milestones, and long lead material availability. This position offers you the autonomy to grow and cultivate diverse work experiences while making a significant impact on our operations.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Collaborate with Global Load Planning and Service Marketing to support Sales and Service needs, providing estimates for available manufacturing slots.

  • Work closely with the Bid Management team and business partners to develop proposals and lead-time/scheduling estimates.

  • Partner with Manufacturing on resource leveling and Takt execution, analyzing bottleneck resources and coordinating optimization efforts.

  • Produce and maintain Regular Production Schedules, ensuring resource loading, actual status, and major milestones are accurately tracked.

  • Generate Manpower Estimates and Inventory Forecasts to assist Plant Management and support Project Management with Customer Requirements and Scope Changes.

What You Bring

  • A Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in a related discipline with a Manufacturing focus, Business, or a related field, along with 8+ years of proven industry experience.

  • A strong background in SAP is essential.

  • Proficiency in MS Project and Excel is required, with SFDC ([1] Salesforce.com) experience preferred.

  • Previous forecasting experience and technical knowledge of Generator components are advantageous.

  • Excellent analytical skills, solid communication, and presentation abilities, enabling you to build strong working relationships with internal and external partners.

  • Robust knowledge of multiple problem-solving and process improvement methodologies.

  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
