Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Fort Walton Beach, with a focus on Electronics and Surface Mount Technology (SMT) . The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing manufacturing processes for electronic assemblies, with a strong emphasis on surface mount technology. This is a senior-level position that requires a deep understanding of electronics manufacturing, process development, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and implement efficient and cost-effective manufacturing processes for electronic assemblies, including surface mount technology (SMT) and through-hole technology (THT)

Lead cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements, reducing defects, and increasing productivity

Develop and implement test and inspection procedures to ensure high-quality electronic assemblies

Collaborate with design engineers to ensure manufacturability of new products and to provide feedback on design for manufacturability (DFM)

Develop and maintain documentation, including process documentation, work instructions, and bills of materials (BOMs)

Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues, including process-related problems and equipment malfunctions

Implement and maintain lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives

Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field and 10 years of experience in electronics manufacturing, with a focus on surface mount technology (SMT) and through-hole technology (THT)
14 Years of relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of Bachelor's degree

Proven experience in process development, implementation, and improvement in an electronics manufacturing environment

Must have a strong knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes, including SMT, THT, and inspection/test methods

Experience with manufacturing equipment, including pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens, and inspection systems

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions

Excellent communication and leadership skills, with experience working in a team environment

Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
-
Experience with ERP systems, such as Costpoint, SAP or Oracle
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
-
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field
-
Experience with Industry 4.0 technologies, including automation, robotics, and data analytics

Certification in electronics manufacturing, such as Certified SMT Engineer (CSMT) or Certified Electronics Technician (CET)
-
Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $122400 - $208080
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
