Three (3) years of experience with actuarial modeling software, including GGY AXIS, ProVal, and Prophet; retirement products, including corporate and public pensions and fixed, fixed index, and variable annuities; actuarial valuation and financial reporting of retirement and annuity products, including regulations and actuarial modeling assumptions and methodologies; asset and liability modeling and cashflow testing, including stochastic and deterministic financial projections and macroeconomic forecasts; and database and programming software, including SQL, VBA, and Python.

Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field of study

Job Description

Analyze model requirements. Create SQL database stored procedures to transform policy data into an AXIS format. Implement AXIS models for actuarial assumptions and valuation methods. Support business-as-usual modeling activities, such as actuarial assumption updates, methodology improvements, regulatory required changes, and financial planning and forecasting. Work on new fixed index annuity product model implementation and onboarding. Work on company strategic projects, such as reinsurance, regulation change implementation, and capital optimization. Perform unit testing on actuarial model development and document model implementation steps. Ensure model control is implemented during the model development process. Provide annuity model owners with required ad hoc analyses. Support the Quality Assurance function by testing and remediating model discrepancies. Work with the IT department to resolve data issues and process issues. Automate model run processes and improve model run efficiency. Support model transitions to the production team by providing effective documentation and communication. Work with actuarial modeling software, including GGY AXIS, ProVal, and Prophet; retirement products, including corporate and public pensions and fixed, fixed index, and variable annuities; actuarial valuation and financial reporting of retirement and annuity products, including regulations and actuarial modeling assumptions and methodologies; asset and liability modeling and cashflow testing, including stochastic and deterministic financial projections and macroeconomic forecasts; and database and programming software, including SQL, VBA, and Python.

Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) designation is required.
