Job Title: Concrete Laborer
Job Description
The Concrete laborer works in a shop environment on an assembly-style line, performing physically demanding tasks such as tying rebar, setting up concrete wall forms, and assisting with pouring and finishing pre-cast concrete. This role requires a strong work ethic, comfort with intense manual labor, and prior experience in construction, manufacturing, or equipment operation.
Responsibilities

Tie rebar accurately and efficiently as part of pre-cast concrete production.

Set up wall forms and prepare materials on an assembly-style production line.

Assist with pouring concrete and perform basic concrete finishing using trowels and related tools.

Use hand tools and power tools such as hammers, utility knives, tie wire pliers, side cutters, and adjustable wrenches safely and correctly.

Work in bent-over, kneeling, or standing positions for extended periods, often up to 812 hours per day.

Meet structured production times and quality standards while working as part of a team and completing tasks independently.

Follow all safety procedures, including the use of required PPE such as hard hat, steel-toe boots, and safety glasses.

Maintain a clean and organized work area and handle tools and equipment responsibly.

Work variable hours with a typical start time of 6:00 a.m. and stay until work is finished, including mandatory Saturdays as needed.
Essential Skills

Previous experience in construction, manufacturing, equipment operation, or assembly work.

Ability to perform intense physical labor, including frequent bending, kneeling, and standing for up to 12 hours.

Comfort using hand tools and power tools in a production or construction environment.

Ability to work on an assembly-type production line and follow structured processes.

Reliability and willingness to work variable hours with early start times and mandatory Saturdays as needed.

Ability to work safely and consistently in a physically demanding role.
Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with pre-cast concrete production or concrete finishing.

Familiarity with tools such as trowels, speed squares, hammers, utility knives, adjustable wrenches, tie wire pliers, and side cutters.

Willingness to obtain required personal tools (speed square, hammer, utility knife, 6" adjustable wrench, tie wire pliers, side cutters) within two days of starting.

Ability to work effectively within a group while meeting individual production targets.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hanover, PA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
