Position Specific Description

Position Summary: NextEra Energy is seeking a detail-oriented Production Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining renewable energy generation facilities, ensuring safe and efficient operations. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience and start a career in the clean energy industry.

Responsibilities:

-Perform routine inspections and proactive maintenance of renewable energy equipment.

-Assist in troubleshooting and resolving equipment malfunctions.

-Conduct basic repairs and replacements under guidance. -Monitor production data and suggest operational improvements.

-Adhere to safety protocols and maintain documentation of maintenance activities.

-Collaborate with cross-functional teams and participate in training programs.

-Support procurement and inventory management.

-Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.

Job Overview

Employees in this entry-level position perform power plant operations as well as maintenance on station equipment.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Under direct supervision:

  • Repairs and calibrates equipment

  • Monitors equipment performance through testing

  • Applies basic electrical, mechanical, or I and C skills

  • Must train and qualify for Production Technician II within one year of hire

  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • High School Grad / GED

  • Experience: 0+ years

  • Valid Driver’s License (NON-CDL)

The estimated base pay for this position is $62,400.00 to $93,600.00 per year. Starting pay will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, experience, qualifications, job-related and industry knowledge and skills and education/training.
