Job Description
A client in Concord, CA is looking for a Ful Stack Engineer to join their team. This role will be 90% front end and 10% back end. Responsibilities shown below:
- Develop and maintain modern web applications using Angular, TypeScript, and Node.js
- Build responsive, user-friendly front-end experiences
- Contribute to the migration from Java/Grails to the new Angular/Node platform
- Develop and integrate REST APIs and backend services
- Work with PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Oracle databases
- Leverage Claude and Cursor to accelerate coding, testing, documentation, and development workflows
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
- Create mockups, demos, and proof-of-concepts for new features
- Conduct code reviews, write unit tests, and troubleshoot production issues
- Collaborate closely with a small, high-impact engineering team to deliver product enhancements and new functionality rapidly
Skills and Requirements
- 5-7+ years of software engineering experience
- Strong Angular experience (Angular 16+; Angular 20 preferred)
- Proficiency with TypeScript
- Experience building applications with Node.js
- Strong understanding of RxJS and reactive programming
- Experience consuming and building REST APIs
- Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle)
- Ability to clone, configure, and run Node projects using npm
- Experience with Agile/Scrum development environments
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude and Cursor
- Experience working with React
- Java development background
- Experience working with or migrating applications from Grails
- Knowledge of CDN architecture and web performance optimization
- Experience creating UI mockups, prototypes, and product demos
- SaaS product development experience
- Experience modernizing legacy applications
