Full job description

Job Title: Welder Job Description

This position involves the use of various hand, power, and pneumatic tools for fabricating and finishing processes. Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding is required, along with the ability to work with various types of materials. Candidates must possess strong mechanical skills and the capability to read and understand blueprints. The role includes performing complex or unique hand welding operations and the ability to fabricate directly from blueprints, create jigs/fixtures, and collaborate on production techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Perform MIG and TIG welding tasks.

  • Utilize hand, power, and pneumatic tools for fabricating and finishing.

  • Read and interpret blueprints to fabricate components.

  • Perform complex and unique hand welding operations.

  • Create jigs and fixtures for production.

  • Collaborate with team members on production techniques.

Essential Skills

  • MIG and TIG welding experience.

  • Ability to read and understand blueprints.

  • Good mechanical skills.

  • Experience in welding various types of materials.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Custom fabrication experience.

  • Knowledge of using a tape measure.

  • Experience in welding on different types of metals.

Work Environment

The work takes place in a foundry environment, within a larger metal shop located in Birdsboro. The work hours are from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Birdsboro, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
