Clinical Ladder participation is voluntary. Salary adjustments are determined by program eligibility, advancement level, and organizational guidelines.

Unit Highlights: Neuro Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Our 40-bed Neuro PCU specializes in the care of stroke patients, including those undergoing stroke evaluations and workups. We also provide comprehensive care for post-neurosurgical patients, individuals requiring continuous EEG monitoring, and patients with seizure disorders. Additionally, we accommodate other progressive care–level patients admitted through the Emergency Department as capacity allows. The unit maintains a 4:1 patient-to-nurse ratio, supported by a collaborative team that includes Patient Care Technicians (PCTs), Charge nurses without patient assignments, and a Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) available 24/7. Together, we ensure high-quality, patient-centered care in a specialized neuro-focused environment.

Schedule: 3/12-hour shifts 7 PM - 7 AM Nights, rotation of weekends and holidays

Job Description:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.

  • Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.

  • Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.

  • Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.

  • Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.

Education:

  • Associate's of Nursing [Required]

  • Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]

Work Experience:

  • 1+ acute care hospital setting [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]

  • Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]

Pay Range:

$31.85 - $52.76 Background Screening Requirement (Florida Law)
