Job Details: Summary The Complex Safety Manager provides strategic leadership for health and safety programs across processing and live operations. As a key member of the Plant Leadership Team, this role drives a proactive safety culture, ensures regulatory compliance, and leads continuous improvement efforts to reduce risk, prevent injuries, and promote employee well-being. The position serves as the site's primary health and safety representative and partners with leaders to implement best practices that support Tyson Foods' safety goals. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all safety programs and initiatives for the complex.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies, and applicable federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Analyze safety metrics and incident trends to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Investigate workplace incidents and develop preventive action plans.
  • Maintain OSHA records, permits, and compliance documentation.
  • Lead safety training programs including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Hazard Communication, PPE, Ergonomics, and Emergency Response.
  • Support regulatory inspections and serve as the primary contact for safety-related matters.
  • Partner with operations teams to drive employee engagement and strengthen the site's safety culture.

Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience:

  • 5+ years of safety experience in manufacturing, food production, or industrial operations.
  • 3+ years of progressive safety leadership experience.
  • Experience with OSHA compliance, incident investigations, and safety program management.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, hazard communication, ergonomics, accident investigation, and safety training.
  • Knowledge of PSM and RMP programs preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety management systems.
