Full job description

Description

We are looking for an HR Coordinator to support a busy human resources team within a construction-focused organization in New Hope, Minnesota. This Contract to permanent opportunity is well suited for someone who enjoys helping employees, managing a high volume of inquiries, and keeping HR processes organized and responsive. The role will focus on employee support, benefits-related questions, onboarding coordination, and day-to-day HR administration while working with systems such as Outlook and Oracle. Success in this position requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to stay effective while balancing multiple priorities.

Responsibilities:

  • Respond to a high volume of employee and HR-related questions through a call center-style support environment with professionalism and accuracy.

  • Coordinate onboarding activities for new team members, including documentation, scheduling, and follow-up to help create a smooth start for employees.

  • Assist with benefits administration by addressing employee questions, supporting enrollments, and escalating complex issues when needed.

  • Maintain HR records and update information in HR systems to ensure data is accurate, complete, and compliant.

  • Support pre-employment screening processing and help track pre-employment requirements through completion.

  • Monitor recurring service issues, identify gaps in current workflows, and share practical recommendations to improve efficiency and consistency.

  • Partner with internal HR team members to support daily administrative tasks, employee communication, and policy-related guidance.

  • Use tools such as Outlook and Oracle to manage correspondence, track tasks, and organize HR activities in a timely manner.

Requirements • Prior experience in human resources support, HR coordination, employee services, or a call center environment.

  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally in high-volume situations.

  • Working knowledge of onboarding, HR administration, background checks, and benefits-related processes.

  • Experience using HRIS platforms or similar systems; familiarity with Oracle and strong Outlook skills are preferred.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks at once while maintaining accuracy and follow-through.

  • Self-motivated approach with the judgment to handle routine issues independently and escalate when appropriate.
