Full job description
Clean Harbors , in Wichita , KS , is hiring for a Shipping and Receiving Manager to join their safety conscious team! This position is responsible for overseeing the facility’s shipping and receiving operations, maintaining accurate inventory records, coordinating departmental activities, and ensuring appropriate staffing to support daily operations. The Shipping and Receiving Manager will work closely with Logistics, Lab, Operations, Order Entry, and Maintenance while providing leadership and oversight to the shipping and receiving team.

Key Responsibilities:
-
Manage and oversee daily shipping and receiving operations;
-
Coordinate departmental activities with Logistics, Lab, Operations, Order Entry, Maintenance, and other internal teams;
-
Review, maintain, and update inventory within appropriate systems and databases;
-
Maintain consumable inventory
-
Monitor facility and departmental performance and provide assistance where needed;
-
Perform Facility Security Officer duties, including planning, training, drills, and reporting;
-
Purchase departmental supplies and services as needed;
-
Maintain departmental compliance with ISO requirements
-
Participate in interviewing, hiring, training, performance management, and disciplinary activities for department personnel;
-
Coordinate and provide training to department employees;
-
Maintain and support applicable facility and departmental permits;
-
Ensure operations are conducted in accordance with company policies, procedures, and safety requirements;

Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs.
What does it take to work for Clean Harbors?

Minimum of 2 years of college education or specialized training required;
-
1-2 years of relevant experience preferred;
-
Previous experience within shipping, receiving, warehouse, logistics, or a related operational environment;

Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred;
-
Strong organizational and communication skills;
-
Ability to effectively coordinate activities across multiple departments;
-
Ability to maintain accurate inventory records, reports, and documentation;
-
Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced operational environment.
