Full job description
Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Senior Manual QA Engineer to join their team. As a Senior Manual QA Engineer, you will be an integral part of the Quality Assurance department supporting the testing and validation of Point-of-Sale (POS) systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully within the organization.

Location: Seattle, WA, USA (Onsite)
Pay Range: 42 W2
What's the Job?

Develop, review, and execute comprehensive manual test cases for POS tax calculation functionality.

Validate U.S. sales tax calculations across federal, state, county, city, and special jurisdictions.

Test tax scenarios involving beverages, food items, merchandise, gift cards, and digital transactions.

Verify tax behavior for discounts, promotions, coupons, loyalty rewards, and tender-specific transactions.

Perform end-to-end testing across POS, payment processing, back-office, and reporting systems.
What's Needed?

Manual QA testing experience, particularly with retail POS applications.

Hands-on experience validating U.S. sales tax calculations and ensuring tax compliance.

Strong understanding of state, county, city, and district tax calculations, exemptions, and holidays.

Experience testing POS transaction flows including sales, refunds, exchanges, voids, and discounts.

Proficiency with defect-tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
