Description
The Patient Care Technician assists patients with activities of daily living and selective procedures delegated and communicated by the licensed nurse. These activities focus on maintaining a safe, hazard free, clean environment which facilitates patient focused care.

Required qualifications:

Coursework/Training: Combined equivalent experience and certification needed for function and level. Or Current graduate of state approved PCT program (CPCT).

Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.

Upon hire: National Certified Patient Care Technician - National Association for Health Professionals. Or
-
Upon hire: National Certified Patient Care Technician - National Center for Competency Testing. Or
-
Upon hire: National Certified Patient Care Technician/Assistant - National Healthcareer Association.
Preferred qualifications:
-
H.S. Diploma or GED.
-
6 months PCT experience in an acute care setting.

6 months Phlebotomy experience.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
