Phoenix Defense is currently seeking applicants for Electronic Technician Maintenance I positions supporting the Warfighter-Training Readiness Solutions Program (W-TRS) in Louisville, KY.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Electronics Technician Maintenance II position will perform all functions required to maintain and repair electronic TADSS and equipment, including a variety of Training Devices
Performs preventative maintenance IAW technical guidelines and equipment specifications ensuring proper functionality and safe operating conditions
Applies advanced technical knowledge to solve routine electrical, mechanical, and computer issues by interpreting. manufacturers' manuals or similar documents
Performs inventory of spare/repair parts IAW contractual guidelines
Capture and records accurate maintenance history ensuring unique corrective measures for work orders and repair are annotated into MIS.
Applies basic and advanced technical knowledge to solve routine problems
May supervise, provide direction/guidance, and check lower-level technicians' work
Ensuring that all paperwork and reports are completed in a timely and accurate manner
Reads and interprets schematic drawings and diagrams required to perform maintenance
This position may require travel to other installations and other W-TRS locations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1-3 years' experience with electronics testing/troubleshooting.
Intermediate computer and networking skills.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Linux, and Unix operating systems.
Must be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
Ability to obtain Electronics Technician Certification.
Must be a High School Graduate or have a GED.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND CAPABILITIES:
Excellent written and oral communications skills, attention to detail, strong organizational skills, computer proficiency, and the ability to work under strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong analytical, problem-solving, customer service and decision-making skills
Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel)

The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing: viewing a computer monitor; extensive reading.
May be exposed to extreme weather conditions - duties may be performed in all types of terrain and weather.
