Daily Hours: 8 (7.5 paid)

Civil Service Title: Office Clerk II (Competitive HELP)
Minimum Requirements:
Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma, plus EITHER:
(A) Graduation with an Associate's degree or successful completion of at least sixty (60) credit hours from a college or university; OR,
(B) Two (2) years paid full-time or its part-time equivalent office clerical or secretarial experience*; OR,
(C) An equivalent combination of education and experience as defined by the limits of (A) and (B) above.
*Experience as a Teller, Cashier or Sales Clerk will not be considered appropriate experience for the purposes of these minimum qualifications.
NOTE: Your degree must have been awarded by a college or university accredited by a regional, national, or specialized agency recognized as an accrediting agency by the U.S. Department of Education/U.S Secretary of Education. If your degree was awarded by an educational institution outside the United States and its territories, you must provide independent verification of equivalency. Committed to producing high-quality, accurate, and efficient work;
Previous clerical, administrative, or secretarial experience in a professional setting.
Position Summary/Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive administrative and clerical support to the Principal and Assistant Principal;
Serve as the primary point of contact for students, families, staff, and visitors by managing phone, email, and in-person communications with professionalism and courtesy;
Coordinate and maintain administrative calendars, meetings, appointments, and school communications;
Prepare, organize, and distribute school-wide mailings, including summer mailings, census documentation, assessment reports, report cards, and other communications throughout the school year;
Manage the ordering, purchasing, and inventory of office and classroom supplies, including purchases through the Central Stores Department;
Collaborate with the District Finance Team to monitor budgets, process purchase orders, and ensure timely follow-up on purchases;
Assist with planning and coordinating school events, family engagement activities, and student support initiatives;
Maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive student and staff records, custody agreements, and other confidential information;
Perform additional administrative duties as assigned, including preparing new employee and student onboarding packets, coordinating substitute coverage, and maintaining emergency contact information;
