Job Duties

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Project Coordinator - Hybrid position with a Public Sector Organization located in Minneapolis, MN. This is an 8+ month contract opportunity.

Compensation: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour, W2, based on qualifications

Position Overview:

The client is seeking a detail-oriented, analytical, and collaborative Senior Project Coordinator to support our IT Department. This role combines hands-on operational responsibilities including procurement and contract management with project coordinator support for project and program managers on multiple projects depending on scope and complexity, including overseeing administrative tasks, financial reporting, procurement tasks, and other project responsibilities as needed to support the project managers.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage technology procurement requests and prepare purchase requisitions

Prepare, track, and monitor Professional Service Authorizations (PSAs)

Identify and participate in implementing process improvements for the PSA, procurement, and contract lifecycle mgmt processes

Assist the project manager in the development of project management documents such as project budgets, project schedules, scope statements and project plans

Helping to coordinate and manage project tasks and deliverables

Liaising with project stakeholders concerning project details and deliverables

Coordinate the allocation of project resources to ensure the project team has what's needed at the right time

Analyzing data as required

Conducting administrative duties, such as setting up meetings, drafting invoices and drawing estimates

Tracking and reporting project progress

Performing other duties assigned by the Project Manager in an orderly and efficient manner

Help project managers monitor project progress and team members' performance and provide updates to project stakeholders

Schedule stakeholder meetings, document and generate reports

Other duties as assigned

Primary Requirements:

High school diploma plus a project management certification with relevant work experience in project management or administrative assistance

Strong oral and written communication skills

Experience coordinating multiple tasks under pressure while ensuring that project goals are met on time and within budget

Demonstrated skills in working effectively with others both individually and in groups to troubleshoot problems, create procedures and provide support

Demonstrates a strong level of attention to detail and organization in planning, tracking, and executing project tasks

Experience using business financial applications (e.g., JD Edwards EnterpriseOne or similar)

Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Valid driver's license and a working vehicle for commuting between job sites

Desired Skills:

Four-year college degree OR equivalent work experience as a project coordinator and/or IT procurement/vendor contract compliance

Ability to analyze data and develop insights to support decision making

Familiarity with purchasing processes, procurement workflows, and vendor management

Process improvement experience
