Description

The Moorings at Lewes is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team!

The Moorings is a Springpoint Senior Living Community located in Lewes, Delaware. We are currently in search of a full-time Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a valued member of our team, the Maintenance Technicians play a vital role in ensuring a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained environment for our residents and staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform general maintenance duties, including equipment cleaning, apartment turnover (post-vacancy or demolition), light bulb and filter replacements.

  • Utilize an electronic work order system for task management and tracking.

  • Assist with material handling for renovation and remodeling projects; report inventory needs.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of work completed, including time and scope, through work order forms.

  • Coordinate effectively with vendors and contractors performing services at the facility.

  • Provide courteous assistance to residents, co-workers, and visitors; represent the facility in a professional manner.

  • Respond to emergency calls outside regular work hours as needed.

  • Ensure all tasks are completed in a timely, effective, and cost-efficient manner.

  • Submit completed work orders at the end of each day.

  • Leave detailed communication in apartments when residents are not present during service.

  • Foster positive, professional relationships with staff, residents, and guests.

  • Adhere to all fire and safety procedures and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  • Minimum of 3 years of general maintenance experience required.
