Full job description

About Bloom Bloom is a YC-backed startup making app creation as easy as talking into your phone. We’re building the first mobile AI editor that empowers anyone to design, build, and launch full-stack apps directly from their device. We're now entering a new growth phase and are looking for a Founding Systems & Growth Engineer — a technical builder/ex-founder who can architect the infrastructure that powers our growth engine while establishing the operational backbone that scales with us You'll work closely with the founders and a consumer-focused counterpart to build the systems, automation, and analytics that drive decision-making across the company. 🎯 Mission Design and scale Bloom’s technical growth engine, building the internal systems, automations, and data infrastructure that power our next stage of growth. 🚀 Responsibilities

  1. Systems & Infrastructure Own the backbone of Bloom’s internal operations and ensure our company scales efficiently. Responsibilities:
  • Maintain financial hygiene and vendor management, and build models that forecast burn, revenue, and runway ahead of our 2026 Series A.
  • Establish robust technical infrastructure for internal tools, data flow, and reporting systems.
  • Automate manual operational processes — from user onboarding logic to CRM and support tools — to enhance company-wide efficiency.
  • Prototype internal MVPs that streamline business workflows and bridge the gap between strategy and engineering.
  • Collaborate closely with founders to shape the financial and operational systems that underlie Bloom’s next phase.
  1. Growth Engineering/GTM Ops Build and maintain the technical foundation of Bloom’s go-to-market motion and user insights engine. Responsibilities:
  • Architect and implement automations that drive acquisition, activation, and retention.
  • Set up end-to-end data pipelines and dashboards that track performance across key growth metrics.
  • Instrument product analytics, event tracking, and behavioral funnels to understand user engagement.
  • Develop scalable infrastructure for community success — configuring CRM and support bots, streamlining communication loops, and integrating feedback data.
  • Partner with the brand and comms lead to test and refine PLG experiments that connect our product with our user base.

🧩 Profile You’re a technical generalist who thrives at the edge of product, data, and growth. You love building systems that scale both the product and the business. You might be a fit if you:

  • Have 3+ years of experience in technical operations, growth engineering, or data systems (startup experience preferred).
  • Are fluent in SQL and one scripting language (Python, TypeScript, etc).
  • Have experience connecting APIs, automating workflows, or building internal tools with no-code/low-code frameworks.
  • Enjoy translating messy business problems into elegant technical solutions.
  • Are data-driven, curious, and highly autonomous.
  • Prefer speed and experimentation over perfection — prototype first, polish later.

Bonus points:

  • You’ve built growth automations or integrated systems in startups before.
  • You’ve built something impressive on Bloom
  • You’re comfortable working cross-functionally with founders, growth, and design.
  • You’ve used tools like Notion, Airtable, Retool, or dbt for building internal systems.
  • You’ve contributed to or built analytics stacks or internal growth infrastructure.

How to apply:

  • Tell us why this role speaks to you, in whichever format you feel more comfortable with (text, video, letter, a Bloom, carrier pigeon: surprise us)
  • Share something you’ve built, shipped, or led. No need to be humble about things you are proud of.
  • Link to your socials (X, LinkedIn, website, whatever shows off your vibe)

About the interview

  • Take-home challenge
  • Talk to David (CEO)
  • Paid trial
