Full job description

OVERVIEW: Under the general supervision of the on-shift supervisor, the Quality Auditor Production performs routine quality tests and inspections, records inspection results in Epicor, and identifies discrepancies between production activities and ERP records. This position helps ensure the accuracy of quality documentation and the consistency of all products manufactured in RS production facilities. As a member of the RS team, this position will support an organizational culture that cares for others' well-being through best practices in health and safety, in addition to the company's values of respect, integrity, quality, teamwork and professional growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform quality measurements and review of modules
  • Work with production operators in controlling quality
  • Maintains plant safety and helps maintain plant cleanliness
  • Coordinate and maintain proper workflow
  • Document inspection results
  • Ensure non-conforming products are not used without approval
  • Maintain both electronic and hard copies of quality records
  • Review quality inspection results, non-conformance records, and related production information in Epicor to confirm records are complete and accurate.
  • Verify that documented quality checks and material usage align with shop-floor activity and applicable ERP transactions.
  • Support timely order closeout by identifying missing or inconsistent quality records and coordinating corrections with Production, Quality, and Continuous Improvement teams.
  • Investigate quality-record discrepancies, follow findings through resolution, and communicate recurring process or transaction issues to the Quality Manager.
  • Inform Quality Manager of any discrepancies in tests or inspections
  • Communicate and work with supervisors and technical staff on production issues
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Quality Manager

TRAINING / QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma
  • One to three years' experience within a Quality role in a production environment
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • MS Office and Excel
  • Experience entering, reviewing, or reconciling production and quality information in an ERP system; Epicor experience is an asset.
  • Ability to identify record discrepancies, communicate findings clearly, and work with cross-functional teams to support corrective action.

Physical Requirements The physical requirements listed below are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.

  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate computers, equipment, and tools.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, and occasional kneeling or crouching, as required.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and work safely in the assigned work environment.

Working Conditions

  • Industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Exposure to hot and humid conditions.
  • Exposure to production materials, including limited interaction with manufacturing chemicals while following all required safety procedures and PPE requirements.
