As a Security Officer Distribution Center - Full Time Afternoon Patrol in San Diego, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control activities, and provide outstanding customer service. You will communicate clearly with employees and visitors while contributing to a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative Allied Universal team that delivers through teamwork and acts with integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.

• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including business spaces, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter, while reporting unusual conditions and maintenance concerns.

• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, helping to deter unauthorized entry and directing individuals to appropriate locations.

• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.

• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation while communicating professionally with Allied Universal leadership and site personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least one year of security-related experience.

• Possess supervisory experience.

• Type at a minimum of 40 words per minute.

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
