The Kelcie Wilson-Yeider Farmers Insurance Agency is looking for an Agent in Training to join our team. You do not need to come from the insurance industry to be successful here. Experience in sales, customer service, retail, hospitality, banking, healthcare, or another people-focused role can provide a great foundation. We'll help you develop your insurance knowledge and sales skills through training, coaching, and hands-on experience while you build a career with long-term growth potential.
What You'll Be Doing As an Agent in Training, you'll work directly with prospective and existing clients while learning how to identify insurance needs and recommend solutions that make sense for them. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
-
Connecting with prospective clients through leads, referrals, phone calls, and follow-up
-
Asking questions to understand each client's needs and current coverage
-
Preparing quotes and explaining insurance options in an easy-to-understand way
-
Selling Auto, Home, Life, Business, and other insurance products
-
Building relationships with clients and providing continued support after the initial sale
-
Identifying opportunities to help existing customers with additional coverage
-
Working toward individual sales and production goals
-
Keeping leads, follow-ups, and client information organized using agency systems
-
Participating in ongoing sales, product, and professional development training
What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who brings energy, professionalism, and a willingness to learn. You may be a great fit if you:
-
Enjoy meeting new people and starting conversations
-
Have experience in sales, customer service, retail, hospitality, banking, healthcare, or another customer-facing environment
-
Are motivated by goals and the opportunity to increase your earnings
-
Feel comfortable communicating by phone, text, email, and in person
-
Can stay positive and persistent when you hear "no"
-
Take feedback well and are willing to try new approaches
-
Are dependable, organized, and consistent with follow-up
-
Want a position where you can continue developing rather than staying in the same role long term
Previous insurance experience is welcome but not required. A Property & Casualty and/or Life & Health license is preferred. Candidates who are not currently licensed must be willing to complete the required licensing. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply. What You Can Expect From Us Starting a new career comes with a learning curve, and we want you to have the resources to succeed.
-
Competitive base pay plus uncapped commission potential
-
Performance-based bonuses and incentives
-
Training and ongoing coaching
-
Qualified leads and marketing support
-
Professional development and continuing education
-
Opportunities to take on additional responsibility as you grow
-
Paid time off and agency-specific benefits
-
Long-term career advancement opportunities
-
Opportunity to explore a future path toward Farmers agency ownership
