Full job description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Nursing to lead our nursing team at our award-winning facility. This pivotal role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on residents' quality of life while fostering a supportive and professional work environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, clinical expertise, and a compassionate approach to elder care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate all nursing services within the facility, ensuring high standards of resident care and compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Develop, implement, and monitor nursing policies, procedures, and protocols
  • Supervise, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff, including Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs)
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop personalized care plans for residents
  • Ensure accurate documentation and reporting of resident health status and incidents
  • Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations, including OSHA, CMS, and local health authorities
  • Manage staffing schedules, budgets, and resource allocation to optimize operational efficiency
  • Foster a compassionate, respectful, and safe environment for residents and staff

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing-New Jersey
  • Proven experience in nursing management, preferably in assisted living or long-term care settings
  • Strong knowledge of elder care, medication management, and regulatory compliance
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle complex situations with professionalism and empathy
  • Organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Knowledge of electronic health records (EHR) systems and administrative software
